Can you make money selling your Photographs to Eye em?
Recently I visited Eyeem.com and was interested in trying their site and selling some of the thousands of travel pictures I have taken. I spent roughly an hour and a half uploading about 50 pictures or so and writing key description words and entering them into their system. It's a fairly simple system and didn't take me long to get the hang of it. The hour and half that I spent was the disappointing part.
The idea is making passive income after you upload your photo's and it seemed like a good idea to me. I'm always up for making an extra buck If I can.
https://www.eyeem.com/sell-your-photos allows you to upload your photo's and make money off them when a user buys your photograph. So after I uploaded my photo's I got a message that each photo was being reviewed. Shortly after that I learned that photo and every single photo I submitted was rejected. Now I don't know If other people have experienced this or not but my experience was a huge waste of my time.
I submitted a variety of pictures from different destinations and all of my photograph's were original. I can't say for sure why they were rejected but it didn't sit well with me that I just spent all this time doing this and got a big goose egg from it.
Review
My suggestion is that you try another photo site and see if they are accepted or not. Eyeem reviews on Trustpilot now have a score of 1.4 stars and people are complaining of not being paid. I will attach a link below for your review.
Overall my experience was negative. I will be trying some other sites soon. See List below If you are interested in trying them. Have a great Day---- Mark
