White Sands in New Mexico

A trip to new Mexico a few years back gave me more than I bargained for. I didn't think New Mexico would be much of anything but the road trip across New Mexico proved me wrong. Traveling across Southern New Mexico we passed Las Cruces and headed to the White Sands National Park. The park covers 145,762 acres or 227 square miles. The entrance fee to the park is $25 per vehicle and You can visit the visitor's center prior to going into the park. Once in the park you can drive around on the white sands and cruise around the park. The park itself has some rest area's, picnic area's and public restrooms. The sands are white as snow and I've included some photo's below. It gets pretty hot in the summer so take plenty of water with you.
