The Golden Gate bridge is 1.7 miles long and 90 feet wide and one of the most spectacular Engineering designs ever. You can take tours daily and walk from the presidio or go to Golden Gate Park and take a tour there. The Bridge design and beauty of the Bay area are like a marriage made in heaven.

This famous landmark has been in movies and seen some real life gangsters in it's day. The ferry tour to Alcatraz sells out so I recommend buying tickets in advance so you won't miss it. Plan on at least a few hours and be ready to take pictures. Escape from Alcatraz featured Clint Eastwood and is one of the most prolific movies of his career.

Muir Woods National Monument is about 12 miles north of San Francisco and is part of the Golden Gate National recreation area. The area covers 554 acres of which 294 acres is great Redwoods. The tallest redwood is about 258 feet and is estimated to be between 500 and 800 years old.

The most popular destination in all of San Francisco is Fisherman's Wharf. In Fact it's the # 3 destination in the entire USA. Over 12 million people visit each year and there are lots of sights to see, restaurants to eat at, museums to go to, trolleys to ride and gift shops to shop at.

Sausalito is across the bay from San Francisco and the best part is the oceanfront dining views of city. Tons of little shops and souvenir places along with artwork from local artists. The views from restaurants are outstanding and so is the food. You can pick from local fresh seafood to steakhouses
